Oh the joys of spending all that time shaving just to feel stubble the next day! Although shaving is an inexpensive and fast way to keep hair at bay, it definitely has its downside. Shaving only removes the hair at the skin's surface and can lead to issues such as ingrown hairs and razor burn. On average, it grows back within 1-5 days and feels thicker and coarser. You can rest assured that the hair is not actually thicker and coarser, you just feel the blunt end of the hair growing through which is still uncomfortable.
So what's a guy or gal to do!? Wax! Waxing is a great alternative for hair removal. With waxing, hair returns in about 3-6 days. Waxing weakens the hair root so over time the hair may become softer, lighter and more sparse. Because hair grows in cycles, it may take up to 3 sessions to get all the hairs in sync. Once that is achieved, you may notice less growth which leaves your skin smooth for a longer amount of time. Now that you are completely convinced to get waxed, put the razor down and let the hair grow for about 10-14 days in order to get the best results.
